Hemisphere Talent Solutions is recruiting for a Remote Agriculture Credit Analyst to work on a long-term secondment for a U.S.- based Agricultural Bank.

This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial information to support lending officers in making sound credit decisions. The analyst will prepare comprehensive loan memorandums that include borrower financial assessments, loan structuring recommendations, industry and market insights, policy compliance reviews, and identification of key credit risks—contributing directly to the bank’s agricultural lending strategy from a remote South African base.

This is a mid-level position, best suited for candidates with 4-6 years of relevant credit analyst experience. While we value extensive expertise, candidates who significantly exceed the experience level required may not be considered, as the role is designed to align with specific mid-level responsibilities and growth expectations.

Duties & Responsibilties

  • Analyze financial statements of ag producers to identify and mitigate risk involved in lending money or extending credit for new and existing commercial borrower requests.
  • Prepare Loan Approval Documents related to new credit requests and annual reviews
  • Spread both personal & commercial financial statements
  • Assist with the collection and monitoring of credit related ticklers
  • Assist officers in ensuring loan covenant compliance
  • Independent meetings with customers
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers in person and by telephone.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and Federal guidelines.
  • Adhere to all bank policy, laws, and regulations applicable to role.
  • Complete compliance training as needed and follow internal processes and controls as required.

Skills & Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of prior experience in agricultural credit underwriting or agri-finance.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Effective and responsive communicator, both via email and phone
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and the ability to work independently
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Self-directed with a proactive approach and strong initiative
  • Familiarity with standard agricultural concepts, particularly related to row-crop production
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) or equivalent software

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Agricultural Finance, or a related field
  • Experience using Moody’s spreading tools and commercial loan software
