H2A General Farm Hand

We are seeking experienced and dedicated farming professionals with a passion for agriculture to perform seasonal contract work on farms in the United States. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily farm operations and ensuring the efficient production of crops or livestock. This role may involve a variety of manual labor tasks to assist with planting, harvesting, equipment operation, and maintenance. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in outdoor environments.

Duties & Responsibilties

Crop Management:

  • Assist in planting, fertilizing, and irrigating crops.
  • Perform weeding, pruning, and pest control to maintain healthy crops.
  • Harvest and sort crops, ensuring quality standards are met.

Livestock Care (if applicable):

  • Feed and water livestock as required.
  • Clean and maintain animal housing areas.
  • Monitor animal health and report concerns to supervisors.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

  • Operate tractors, plows, harvesters, and other agricultural machinery as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment.
  • Able to operate large Tractors: John Deere or Klaas or Case or Ford or New Holland

General Farm Upkeep:

  • Build and repair fences, irrigation systems, and other farm structures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Safely handle and store tools, equipment, and chemicals.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with agricultural regulations and guidelines.

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in agriculture or manual labor is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to [insert weight], bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Basic mechanical skills are an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English
  • List of contactable References (min 2)

Qualification Requirements

Tractor Driving License: Code EB, Code 10, Code 14
